Healthcare

We work with NHS organisations to identify ways in which technology can be brought to bear on both simple and complex problems affecting any area of the clinical process.  Current financial pressures on NHS Trusts and other organisations is leading many to view job cuts and changes to working patterns as an inevitable conclusion, but this is not necessarily the case.

The reworking of business and clinical processes, the introduction of techniques used in other industries and sectors coupled with making better use of existing equipment may all yield efficiency savings which allow patient facing services to be maintained.

We are currently working on a number of projects with NHS and academic organisations including:

  • The provision of a queue management and patient information system to directly implement changes in practice requested by patients themselves;
  • The introduction of new technology into clinics to reduce the amount of time it takes for nursing staff to measure and record information on vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, etc.
  • The establishment of cross organisation NHS and academic working groups to break down barriers between both organisations and cultivate translational research and a true partnership;
  • Negotiation of data sharing agreements between NHS and academic organisations to faciliate the safe and secure flow of information between clinical and research functions;
  • Identifying ways in which NHS organisations can partner with academics and academia to develop services which would improve the accuracy and completeness of research data, providing better outcomes for patients and a valuable source of income for NHS Trusts;

We have experience of working with representatives from all strata of both NHS and academic organisations – from Director/Dean down to those colleagues charged with implementation of the strategy.  We also work with public patient involvement groups to ensure change is directly linked to patient benefit.
