2and7 Sponsor Leigh Man of the Match Award

Featherstone Rovers produced an impressive display against a rejunvenated Leigh Centurions side in a game which again saw Chesterfield Information Systems and Data company, 2and7 Limited, sponsoring the Man of the Match award.  In what was a true display of Rovers ability both in attack and in defence, the Man of the Match trophy could have go to any one of four or five players and with 15 minutes to go it was down to a clear choice between Kain, England, Finn, Worthington and Hardman.

However, for sublime handling skills, great defence and a brace of tries the award went to Featherstone Rovers’ Number 6, Andy Kain.

Featherstone Rovers RLFC are delighted to announce that 2and7 Limited has continued their sponsorship deal with the club for the 2012 season. The Derbyshire based provider of Information and Technology Systems has agreed to sponsor Head Coach Daryl Powell and will again feature on Daryl’s match day clothing as well as being a Player Position Sponsor.

In addition to the 2011 agreement, 2and7 Limited are now capitalising upon the excellent exposure they achieved last year by adding advertisements within the Featherstone Rovers Official Match Day Magazine to target their main customer demographic as well as match day sponsorship.

2and7 Sponsor Featherstone v Leigh Man Of The Match

2and7 Limited are proud to be sponsoring the Man of the Match award for the upcoming Championship playoff  between Featherstone Rovers and Leigh Centurions.  The match is arguably one of the most prestiguous in the Championship season, with the winner of the match going straight through to the Grand Final at Warrington on October 2nd.  The losing side then await the outcome of the playoffs between the teams finishing in 3rd to 6th place.  The winning side then progresses through to the Grand Final.

This is just one of the ways in which 2and7 Limited have worked with Featherstone Rovers RLFC to promote their brand and services.  Originally a player position sponsor for the club, 2and7 Limited then extended this to include sponsorship of Featherstone Rovers Head Coach and Assistant England Coach, Daryl Powell.  The support of the club has been tremendous and we are delighted to be associated with a real nailbiter that will be shown live on Sky Sports.

Ged Connolly-Thompson, MD of 2and7 Limited, said “after witnessing first hand the power and determination that the boys showed when clinching the title at Widnes at the weekend we jumped at the opportunity to sponsor the Man of the Match.  The consistency which the team have shown and teamwork they display every week is something which every organisation should try to emulate.”

In addition to sponsorhip, 2and7 Limited are also collaborating with Featherstone Rovers on a variety of topics, looking to bring their knowledge of information systems and information delivery to take forward lots of shared projects – some of which you may hear about in further posts.

The first and second place playoff takes place at Big Fellas Stadium, Featherstone on Thuesday, September 15th and though shown on Sky Sports, we encourage all fans to make every effort to get behind the team and support them in the flesh.  One thing that came through at the weekend was the bond between team and supporters – by being present and encouraging the team you can play your part in the continuing success of the club who have only lost three regular Championship matches in the last two years and who are currently on a nineteen match winning streak.
