2and7 Limited are actively involved in supporting research into a variety of autoimmune diseases by providing information systems to track progress of patients on clinical trials through to providing consultancy services on the provision of clinical information systems/electronic health records. We also provide consultancy on the use of data mining techniques to make the best use of information available from both clinical and medical research systems.
Investments within the National Health Service has been focussed upon the recruitment of doctors, nurses and other allied health professionals and has been met with a reduction in the number of back office staff used to provide support to these professionals. As a result, many informatics teams within NHS Trusts have had their staffing levels and teams focus reduced to purely supporting existing clinical systems.
Part of our work with the NHS has been to identify crossover between NHS and academic partners, looking to reduce expenditure for both organisations and identifying services which one partner to provide to the other.
As a result of our work in this sector, we are hoping to begin publishing research articles of our own documenting techniques used and providing case studies.
